Help!!! Court subpoena for Judgement Against Old Credit Card Debt

I need some help. On Sunday I was given a subpoena what the man claimed was an old credit card. I have never received any correspondence from this company before. I have no idea how to handle this. I don't want to ignore and get a judgment... on the other hand I live paycheck to paycheck and can't pay this off. What do I do? Any advice and suggests would be helpful. Thanks

First thing I would do is pull all three free annual reports.

Does the subpeona list who the OC was? Is the company(a CA I assume) that is suing you, listed on your reports?

You need to know DOLA and your SOL.

What state are you in? Do you live in the same state now that you did when the account was opened?

What is the name of the OC. What is the name of the collection agency. What is the state / court house they delivered the notice to you. Do you know if it is a valid summon and served properly? You might want to check all the details. Please, post the details about OC/CA and how old the debt is.
