I would like to take a proactive approach and rebuild my credit. I had several accounts over 12, I believe. That were reflecting negatively. Many were from 2004 and 2005 and therfore those have aged off. I do however, have 7 accounts that are due to age off in late 2013. I am getting anxious. I currently have a 630 EX score and would like to see how I could get it to increase quicker. My question is how do I go about increasing my score in the smartest manner .Do I write PFD letters to the Credit Collectors that are due to fall off at the latest date in 2013? Also Many of these accounts are 12+ years old. What am I asking the CA to do. Remove the whole file in its entirety or just update the account as paid thus leaving positive info. One example is the following a Macy's card I opened in June 2000. Date of last activity was Sept. 2006.
