Hi! These forums were so helpful to me many years ago. I had perfect payments for 15 years, then something unfortunate happened. That being said here is my present situation: 1) I have a secured OpenSky account, CL $600 after they gave me a $100 increase, 2.5 years old, perfect payments, 2) OpenSky Gold, CL $500, not secured, graciously given to me 6 months ago, 3) the last of the "biggie" charge offs should fall off 01/2024, 4) 2 Capital One derogatories less than $500 each that I didn't apply for, said I opened them 8/2017 and 9/2017. One has fallen off one credit bureau. I would have contacted them through The Bureaus but I understand when you contact them, sometimes they restart the whole process. A of A from 2 to 11 years, depends on bureau. Burned AmEx, Chase, Barclays and Capital One. EQ and TU 622, EX 758. Authorized user on 5 accounts but didn't help much. I'm not an irresponsible person, just want my credit back. Wells Fargo checking perfect for 4 years, NFCU member. Any and all help would greatly be appreciated.

They cannot restart the SOL by contacting them that would require you to enter a payment agreement now and then default again. If the accounts are updating monthly then I would try to get them corrected, if not just leave them alone since 2017 items will drop next year. You also say you didnt open them you can use the laws afforded you in the FCRA concerning ID theft and get them excluded.
