Really appreciate this community - have learned a ton in the last several weeks reading the posts...
I acouple of days ago I disputed a couple of "30 day" late payment marks on my EQ report - I had two accounts with my credit union, and it looks like they marked them both late when only one was actually paid late, the other we show (in our account) as being paid on time. The reinvestigation came back with the following result:
"There is no historical account information currently on this account"
It's an older account (closed a couple (2) of years ago after being fully paid off) but I wanted to correct the late payment status anyway.
If there really is no historical account info then can I follow up w/EQ and ask to remove the 30 day lates?
Thanks...
I assume that the statement you are quoting was from the Notice of Results of Reinvestigation, and thus was provided by the CRA.
What that would infer to me is that the CRA is stating that they see no record of a any reported delinquencies in their file, and thus have dismissed the dispute as lacking any basis for their reinvestigation of the accuracy of any delinquencies.
Do you have a very recent copy of a a credit report that does show the reported delinquencies?
Perhaps the creditor has already reported deletion to all derogs to the CRA......
