Help with Experian not scoring please.

I imaging his this has been discussed more than once but I was not turning up any results in the search.

If somone can put me in the right topic to search direction I will happly go and find it.

Thae other day I tried to buy my experian report from experian.com to see what was on there remembering the last time I looked the score was 0 and nothing was on the report except for my name and address.  Well I got the same result again, called experian to try to get things straightned out and they did not want anything to do with me.  They asked if I had any cc's or loans out and yes I do.  I have 8 cc's from major lenders who I have verified report to experian and 1 school, and car loan. Then they said it must but a combined credit report and there was nothing they could do.  Is there anything I can do about this?  All the cc's and loans I have right now have no co signers on them and the 0 score with experian almost got me turned down for a vehicle.  Equifax and Transunion both have correct information which I know doesn't matter to experian but atleast I know my credit is getting reported.

Thank you

Re: Help with Experian not scoring please.

Welcome to the forums!

If you pulled your full report from Experian.com and it showed no data from your existing creditors, then I would start by calling your creditors to make sure they report to all 3. Some don't, though the odds of all of yours not reporting are slim to none. Worth a check anyway.

If for sure they report, then I'd pull your EX report from other sources. Maybe there was a glitch on their website. Who knows?! But try other sources like annualcreditreport.com (free), or other Experian-owned sites like freecreditreport or creditchecktotal. Those services don't use the same formatting as Experian, but there is a backdoor method to get your full Experian reports for free and would save you the hassle of having to pay for new ones if you needed a report number.

Per the scoring, the scores in the above sites, including Experian.com don't offer FICO scores. In fact, your lender don't even use scores offered by these websites. They are nothing more than gimmicks and should be ignored (they even say in the fine print that lenders don't use them and are for educational purposes only). However, if there's no data on your EX report, then it could be an issue if your lender pulls EX. You may want to find one that pulls EQ (like most CUs) if looking for a car.
