Help!

I have an account listed as a charge off from University of Phoenix. It was paid in 2009. In the account status section it says Collection account. Shouldn't it say paid or something like that. And is the current status hurting my score. It is listed as paid in the comment section but not in the current status section.

Hi Melanie, Yes if the account is paid in full it should reflect as paid in full charge-off. If you have docs stating it is paid in full I would submit them to the CRA's and also call UoP and remind them they are not reporting accurately.

Thanks DaBears! I called EQ this am and disputed the account as inaccurately reporting. So hopefully they will get this squared away real soon!! My FPB has updated with EQ today as well! Fico score increased 11 points!! Yay! The account still says in dispute re-investigation in process though?? They haven't updated the current status to paid co it still says co so hopefully once they respond to this I'll get a few more points!
