How to elect arbitration to avoid paying PRA

I have two accounts in collections with PRA. One is a Capital One account and the other is from a Comenity Bank account. I would like to request arbitration instead of dealing with PRA, is this an option? If so, how do I go about doing this? Does anyone have experience with Capital One or Comenity Bank?

Re: How to elect arbitration to avoid paying PRA

I know someone has experiene dealing with PRA.  Care to chime in here?  Do I just send a letter stating that I would like to go through arbitration or is this something I just tell them over the phone?

Re: How to elect arbitration to avoid paying PRA

Arbitration is an alternative to civil action that is provided in some contracts.

It depends upon the terms of your contract with the creditor that created the debt.

I suggest going to the FTC web site and reviewing the article www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0161-debt-collection-arbitration
