Re: I will start with one acct at a a time!

If you can PIF or it is beyond SOL, I would DV first.

DV'ing is more about than just knowing that it is your account. It is about "do they have the right to collect" "is the amount calculated correctly", etc.

Re: I will start with one acct at a a time!

Sidewinder,

Going by the est date of removal, i assume the DOFD was 5/2003, correct?

In Massachusetts I believe the sol is 6yrs. ok, so that would make it our of sol 5/2009.

I would rather do a pfd than pif, should I still dv first?

Re: I will start with one acct at a a time!

SOL on telephone debt is 2 years.

You can PFD and PIF, PIF just means Pay in Full. I ask if you can PIF because you don't want to mess with an account that is not beyond SOL if you can not PIF, and run the risk of a judgment.

But I would always DV first.
