Okay got 2 pra accounts falling off. One has a removal date on experian of May 2022. Checked last month. Since I didn't get a notice of it falling off, i ran another report. Now the removal date is completely gone. Called experian today, and they said pra deleted the date, so they were unable to remove the account. Thinking of filing complaints with the BBB, tn attorney General, VA attorney General and the feds too.
Any other ideas? I did call pra with no luck apparently. Thanks
I would contact Experian's Excalations Team and discuss the issue and advise them that you will be contacting the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to confirm whether the action is illegal. Best wishes on resolving the issue in your favor.
It takes PRA 2 cycles to delete their entry. First is usually paid. Then the deletion the next month. Sit back and let them do their thing. Dont poke the bear.
A DoFD must be sent to the CRAs within 90 days of reporting an account. If this is a negotiated account for deletion then wait for them to complete it, if not and EX refuses to remove it first send them a copy of the CR you have with the DoFD and if they still refuse then file a compaint with the CFPB
It's actually an old account that was supposed to age off in May per experians policy on early exclusion. It has had the same DOFD for several years now, my thought was pra deleted the date to extend the time it was on my report.
Appreciate the suggestions, just checked and still gone from my report, but the other derogatory I have with them still shows a Aug removal date. Will print it out and off to experian it goes! Thanks again to everyone.
Update. I copied the relevant item from both reports and filed a dispute with experian, AZ well as with the BBB and CFPB. As of this morning It's deleted from experian.

Good, they typically dont want to deal with regulators or possible lawsuits.
