I am more concerned about the threshhold for CBR'ing. I thought it was $100. Maybe not. I am rather irritated since OC lied to me. This is $12 of a $40 bill! If there is any chance of this being reported I am going to have to go the PFD route before I pay it. I am also going to roast the OC on Monday AM.

I believe the threshold for reporting is $1. FICO08 will not factor in any collection for less than $100, but we all know this scoring model is light years away. Who is the CA and what is this for?
CBCS, Columbus, OH on behalf of CC Florida Weston Physicians (Cleveland Clinic) (OC) = $12.84 = medical account in continuing process of being settled by insurance company after major surgery. Total amount outstanding is around $40.

When was the date of your surgery?AUG 2008
Why didn't the insurance company pay this?
We are fighting over the last few remaining dollars. I partially paid the remaining open balance will the process continued and the OC assured me I was OK. We are talking about the last $40 odd dollars out of about $100K.
I take it that this debt is not on your reports?
It is not. Nor is the CA.
Has the CA threatened to report this?
I just got the initial collection letter yesterday.
Beyond contacting the OC tomorrow what other steps do you recommend. I do not need a CA cropping up on my CBR's now or ever!

Apparently one of my medical providers (after agreeing that I had paid them satisfactorily) sent $12.84 of my outstanding bill (around 25%) to a collection agency. Is there a minimum amount that a collection account must achieve before it can reported? (I believe there is and I don't believe it has been reported yet.) Can someone let me know the answer before I go ballistic? The is aggravating me greatly after doing over $100,000 worth of business with this outfit in 2008!
That's ridiculous!
