Is this rebucketing?

Your FICO® score went down on a day when there were no credit alerts on your Equifax Credit Report™. This can happen if:

  • There was a change on your credit report that lowered your score but did not trigger an alert. For example, the balance on an account might have increased enough to lower your score, but not enough to trigger a balance increase alert.

  • You moved from one category of credit users to another as time passed. For example, you may have transitioned from the category "consumers with a new credit history" to the category "consumers with a two- to five-year credit history". As a result, your credit report is evaluated differently, causing a slight change in your score. The good news is that moving between categories like this usually offers you the potential to reach a higher FICO® score in the future.

Re: Is this rebucketing?

If your balances haven't increased then it very well could be.

Your AAoA moved to the next bucket.

Re: Is this rebucketing?

According to CK my AaoA os 1y 7m.  That doesn't seem long enough to move to me.  Oldest account being 4y 5m.  My utl is a tad over 50% right now and has likely fluctuated 10% in the past 2 months.

Re: Is this rebucketing?

I just read up on rebucketing last week.  I had no knowledge of it prior.  Do you rebound at a decent rate should you take a drastic hit due to being rebucketted?

Re: Is this rebucketing?

Normally, yes.  But, what would you consider drastic?

Remember, CK only includes open OC accounts where FICO includes all OC accounts, open, closed, good, bad.

Utilization isn't a bucket.

Re: Is this rebucketing?

Haha anything at this point is still drastic! Just kidding.  I have only made about a 20pt increase dince I started this months ago.  I just read that some people took like 50pt hits after they were rebucketted.  I know if I paid my utl down I would probably see a decent gain.  I'm working on it Smiley Happy
