Well hello and welcome to the forums.
Looks like you have a good grasp of things, except for that lexington law stuff, you don't need them to do the work for you.
Wishing you the best of luck and will be watching your progress.
sounds like you have a "clean-up" plan under way with lex law. now garden the cards to add to your perfect payment history on the auto loan. read every post you can and that will give you the road map for a long term plan. are you making a living now? are the cards secured? congrats on your new card btw
i recently came home after being overseas for 6 years and we moved to a small town, so my income is 1/3 what it was before i left. i have about 20k in old debt that i'm paying off and it is going slooooooooowwww. but it IS going. after i get my tax lien removed (or paid if they won't remove it) then my DGF and i are moving somewhere where we can make a living again. just remember you have a date on your reports that change from "negative" accounts to "positive" accounts. now that you are on the positive side of that date, never EVER make a late payment, i have recently learned that credit is a journey, not a race, so take your time and ask before you app for anything. you might be in a place to get a couple more cards (if lex law does their thing) or even add a share secured loan. are you a member of a credit union? that is another excellent thing to do now. if you aren't making descent money, think about looking for a career. you are young enough to get in the door anywhere and aim for 6 figures down the road. just keep your financial goals in front of you and know it takes time. i'm pretty new at this so i'm sure if you ask any question the people that helped me SOOOO much can help you. first thing might be to spend the $60.00 to pull your 3 reports from here (or get them free, and without scores, once a year from anualcreditreport), i'm not sure what lex law does but maybe they will furnish them to you? good luck!.
Thank's for the reply. Lexington law has been pretty good so far. And feel pretty stupid just app'ed for the Discover IT Student card and was denied
really didn't need that, gonna hit the gardan for a while with these two cards and see how it plays out.
Yea thats what i've been hearing and at $100 a month i could just use that two pay down my CC's, just out of curisoty how long did it take for you to go from low 500's to 800s! that's awesome!
Almost 2 years to get in the high 700s, now just gardening. I moved up to almost 700 in about 6 months.
you're my hero. Would love to be in the 700's in 6-8 months

god i hope mine goes that well. awesome. i am on a 2 year plan and am actively (and daily) doing what it takes to get there. thank you shogun. you and 2 others have really helped me get started. everyone here has helped.
You can do it. Don't concentrate too much on scores, it can drive you mad. Work on getting a good clean thick file, and those scores will soar.
