Kohls card - negotiating settlement

I'm trying to negotiate with Kohls card and they said they wanted 50-60 percent of the balance of a delinquent accounts that's outside of SOL, they transferred me to another dept to negotiate further but they were closed. What percentage of the balance have you settled with them for?

Radius refusing payment - old bankruptcy?

I have an account on my credit report from Kohl's/capital one,  I contacted Kohls Saturday to try to settle, they said wouldn't take less than 50 percent and told me to call Monday to speak with another dept, I called today and the rep said she could not accept any payment, that my point of contact is "Radius", which turned out to be Radius Global. Radius Global told me that they see the account was included in a bankruptcy and I said well if you feel it was included in a bankruptcy why is Kohl's still reporting. She said they needed to review the account and to give them a few days. Here's the thing; it was not included in bankruptcy, I opened the account in 2004 and filed for bankruptcy in 2009. I did not mention this card in my bankruptcy it was a a zero balance  and kept it long after bankruptcy and then stopped making payments from March 2016 to now. It's past the SOL but I'm trying to clear up my credit. My question is, how is my 2009 bankruptcy relevant to this 2016 delinquency and how should I get it resolved? Radius would not discuss payment with me. Does Radius report to credit bureaus? It was apparently assigned in 2017 but still hasn't shown up on my credit report

it was discharged in the BK even with it not being included in the schedules.. They should update the account to IIB and remove it since it could only be reported 7 yrs from the date the BK was filed in 2009. The issuer of the credit screwed up with this.

Its a touchy legal area, since you know its used past the BK I would just settle it with Kohls, sounds like the CA wont touch it. You could also wait to hear back from the CA to see what they are going to do.

Re: Radius refusing payment - old bankruptcy?

That's just it, Kohls said they can not accept payment, and the collection agency said the same thing, that they are going to review it and to callback.

Why would you pay something that's outside of SOL?

Being outside of SOL doesn't mean the debt is no longer owed. It just means you can't be sued for it.
