Update
Start date: 8/30/2012
Charge-off's with balances: 0 (finally found who to pay for Cap1 and paid it. Will be GW'ing it)
Though, my balances haven't been updated so no move in score. Just waiting patiently.

Update:
One of my CO is now reporting a $0 balance. I am still waiting on the balance on the other CO to report $0.

Let us know about the GW luck with CapOne. I'm pretty sure they are hard to convince.
Another update:
My Cap1 CO, while not being reported yet as $0, Cap1 does acknowledge that the account has been paid. Just waiting for my CR to update. Another CO is now reporting a $0 balance.
That leaves 2 CA to deal with and I will be "clean", so to say. I'm still waiting to get 2 paid CA's off my CR. Since I didn't have any response to my GW attempts with these 2, I started the dispute process in hopes that at the end, they just fall off.
It's progress. But any progress is good.
Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this site over the years. The information here is invaluable.

Congrats
Cap1 is slow to update the balances, but they do eventually do it.
Good luck on a GW with them. They're not particularly receptive to GW and practically impervious to PFD, but you may get lucky.
Even if you don't get lucky, they did delete the entire payment history of my tradeline when I paid the CO, and that alone was sufficient to bump up my FICO despite still having the CO reporting.
