For the life of me I cannot get anywhere with TransUnion. I have an old paid derog (the only one on there) that is due to age off 4/2021, placing me in the EE window as of the first of last month. Four calls to TU have landed me with the same supervisor each time (unreal since I'm calling at various times of day and days of the week), who tells me every time that TU has no way to remove something early and that only the CA can do it. Tried the online dispute method twice, selecting "too old to be on my reports" with a comment respectfully requesting early removal as I've seen from others here recently. Both of those lingered as full-up disputes for 1-2 weeks before closing as a substantiated tradeline.
Other than continuing to HUCA, anyone have any other ideas? I know EE is a courtesy and in no way a policy, but by now I figured I'd have lucked into it working. Anyone have another idea?
That sucks, sorry @Anonymous .
Have you tried disputing via CK? Apparently a few people have done that recently and the TL gets deleted right away. Granted, it wasn't for EE, and I know CK just routes to TU anyway, but maybe it's worth a shot?
That is some unbelievable bad luck with the supervisor. Are you disputing directly through the transunion site? Have you tried through credit karma?
Good luck, I am eagerly waiting to be 6 months out next year.
Edit: @OmarGB9 Great minds think alike.
I did it online both through TU and CK, and both times it became a full-on dispute rather than an EE request unfortunately. I'm not going that route again.

Dang, I don't know then. Snail mail EE request letter perhaps?
@Anonymous Have you tried going above the supervisor's head? It sounds like he isn't aware of EE requests much like the front line CSRs.
I have not seen other means of getting EE.
Thanks guys. No actually I hadn't considered going above a supervisor. If I'm unlucky enough to get the same guy again I'll probably ask though.
Is your 4/2021 date based on DOFD, or one of those 'scheduled to remain on report until' that I saw on a credit report somewhere? If it's DOFD, it sounds like you're asking for a EE like 6 months early. I thought TU did EE up to 2 months early.
With that being said, last month TU gave me an EE almost exactly 2 months before that scheduled removal date, and it was a painless process.

4/2021 is DoFD-based. TU is known to grant six months early (EX is three months, and EQ is thirty days), historically anyway. It's aggravating lol - I keep seeing others getting it and I'm hitting a wall here. I've asked for EE in the past with them on two separate occasions with no issues. This time though, I'm definitely getting the door slammed in my face.

Devil, is this listed as a 4/21 on report until date? Something seems wrong, that should have gone away. It has been like clockwork for me and the DW. Have you pulled a report from TU.. it should be free post dispute.
