Hello everyone,
It's been a long time since I have been on these forums due to a lot of significant life events in a short span of time. In regards to my finances, I suffered a job loss last year and am still trying to recover due to my current job in which I am working at reduced hours and salary. It is temporary. I was recently promoted to a part time managerial role, and my manager is working towards making me full time soon. I also had to move recently and have struggled to pay rent and my credit card bills. One thing I had to enroll in is Merrick's Pay Assist Program in which I make fixed payments which are smaller over 6 months. (This was the time I estimated to them that I would need.) Even though I made the payment, Merrick reported me to the credit burearus for being two months behind, and this is inaccurate. I was only one month behind. Speaking to a CSR didn't help.
Has anyone had any experience with this program?
Glad you're back!👍
I'm not familiar with the Merrick Pay Assist Program. But I'll try to help you.
Do you have proof you were 1 mo late and the other month you paid on time?
Did they assign you a debt counselor? If so, I would suggest reaching out to him/her.
