Midland

I sent a DV letter to midland a couple of weeks ago and I disputed the account with all credit reporting agencies. The account was deleted off of my credit reports. Yesterday I got a letter in the mail from midland with proof of the billing statements from 2002 for a cell phone bill. Should I just GW them now? Will they just place the accounts back on my credit reports?

Re: Midland

They could put it back on your CR. However, the CRA would have to notify you in writing within 5 days of the reinsertion.

Is it a paid collection? GW only work for paid.

Re: Midland

Let them do they work and if they do put it back on your CR start the DV process over. Document everything.

Re: Midland

If this is your debt and you agree with the amount and what they have provided, you could send them a pay for not reporting negotiation letter or you could just pay it.

However, yes it can be reported again. If removed due to a dispute-- then the CRA would have to notify you within 5 days.

If the bill was from 2002, CRTP should be expiring soon.
