OMG....definitely!! Call them NOW!!! I am the daughter of an Air Force pilot. He retired MANY years ago and passed away when I was only 13. I have a USAA account but didn't think I qualified for NFCU bc it's *NAVY* Federal. Turns out, it doesn't matter, any branch is qualified. I'm not even sure how they confirmed my Dad's service. They must have some DB access to old records or something bc I never had to do anyting to prove his service. I had a pretty low score...in the upper 500's but don't remember exactly what. I was going to apply for the Secured card but the really nice gal I was talking to encouraged me to apply for the Rewards Card. I got the manual review message but one or two days later I was approved for $5k unsecured Cash Rewards card. Seriously, call them.
