Re: My Credit Repair Journal

See first post for updates!

I also apped for a Target Red Card, got the 2 week message, so we'll see.  If I get this card, no more apps for me for at least a year.  I would have 3 flawless CC's (one being retail), 5 flawless SL accounts, and 1 flawless auto loan.

Re: My Credit Repair Journal

HIPAA SUCCESS AGAIN!!!

My Truecredit Report showed it has been deleted from Transunion, and I got a EQ Scorewatch Alert that my score had changed... 622 to 634!!! It gives a list of reasons, but it doesn't specifically say which one it is.  My auto loan has also juct reported to TU on the same day, but I'm betting the CA removal is the cause for the score bump on EQ.  (My TU FAKO went DOWN a point, haha)

The alert details says this:

The following 1 negative factor(s) are not hurting your score as much as before:

  • The time since your most recent past due payment or derogatory indicator is too recent

This account had been re-reported every month since January. Here's the info on the account:

One is unpaid and $170 from MAF Collection Services.  I have never communicated with this CA in any form.  This account is reporting identically to all 3 bureaus.

FEB 16 2009

I have WRITTEN BY HAND (with back-up copies) the "PRE HIPAA MEDICAL DISPUTE LETTER" to each CRA.  I plan to send these out tomorrow certified mail (not CMRRR).

FEB 20 2009

Mailed Pre HIPAA Medical Dispute Letter CM today to all three bureaus.

MAR 01 2009
Pulled my reports today from annualcreditreport.com. This account is "under investigation" for all three bureaus. So far so good.

MAR 16 2009

Amount "verified."  Sent "HIPAA Letter to the OC" and payment with restrictive endorsement.

APR 23 2009

The OC FINALLY deposited my check.

APR 27 2009

Sent "Follow up Dispute Letter" to all 3 CRA's CMRRR.

MAY 04 2009

REMOVED FROM TRANSUNION AND EQUIFAX!!!!  Still waiting to hear about EX.  I AM SO EXCITED!!!

Re: My Credit Repair Journal

My auto loan amount was $9,404.95, and my first payment is due on May 29th.

I took $1,000 to my CU this morning and applied it to the principal, so now I owe $8,404. This one action will save me $1,207 in interest over the life of the loan and shave 9 months off the scheduled 60 months, assuming I don't pay extra towards the principal each month.  But I intend to pay an extra $200 each month, which will reduce the loan from 60 months to 24, and save me $3,109 in interest!!!

Re: My Credit Repair Journal

Just got a letter from Experian refusing to re-investigate the paid $170 medical collection that EQ and TU just deleted.

They say I need to include proof of a reason they should re-investigate.  I suppose I'll ask the hospital for an updated account statement showing the $0 balance due.

In other news, my new car loan and newish Cap1 card have both reported and lowered my AAoA to 3 years from 4.  This did not change my FICO score.  My Target Card will report next month, and then it's time for CREDIT GARDENING for me!

NO MORE APPS for at least a year!

Re: My Credit Repair Journal

Right now I have

27 late payments on each report, almost all from defaulted SL's

2-4 collections on each report

6 defaulted student loans, DOFD of 10/2006

2 PR's on TU and EX from 5/2004

By the end of 2013,

I will have 3 CC's all with flawless payment history. One will be 9.5 years old.  The other two will be 4.5 years old.

I will have 6 student loans between 8 and 12 years old with flawless payment history, 80-90% paid off

One car loan that will have been paid 2.5 years early with no lates.

AAoA of 7+ years

NO COLLECTIONS

NO PUBLIC RECORDS

NO LATE PAYMENTS

NO BADDIES OF ANY KIND

Sounds like a recipe for FICO's above 760 to me!
