Due to some medical issuses, I cannot pay my Home Depot card, by CITI. I've already talked to them but there's nothing they can do for me. Its about to be charged off in a bout a month. My question is, I have an American Airlines card by CITI as well. Will they see or care that I was not able to pay my home depot card since its the same company? Will they maybe lower my available balance or even close off my American Airlines card? I don't have a balance on that one but I do have a lot of miles that I dont want to lose.
Thanks in advance for any answers.
I would be shocked if Citi did not close all of your accounts with them.
Not only will Citi care, and see it, but so will all the other lenders that you might have.
The chances you experience adverse action, including balance chasing, CLDs and account closures from all your lenders will definitely be on the table.
Make sure your miles are credited to aa, not citi.
as @JoeRockhead suggested, there's no selective default. In for a penny, in for a pound.
Btw, does the medical issue involve having your head stuck where you sit?
