NCB DP and Thanks!

Hi all! 

A few months ago (mid-late June) I searched the forums for info on PFD with NCB. I had about $3800 in collections froma previous Elastic line of credit. I did as everyone suggested: called, went through at least 3 lines of customer service and got an agreement for PFD. First, my CRs reflected a $0 balance and then the account was gone. It took about 30 days; they said it was be 30-90.

As a result, my lowest score (Ex) went up 40 points into the 690 range. TU is well into the mid-700s. I've subsequently gotten approved for AMEX Biz Gold and was just approved for Amex platinum this morning.

Congrats on the deletion. Did you have to pay the entire balance or were you able to negotiate a lower amount?

Thanks! Yes. Forgot to add that part. I stated up front that I wanted to pay the entire balance. One or two of the first reps mentioned that it wouldn't come off with a negotiated or paid-over-time payment, but I reiterated that I was planning to pay the whole thing. I got an email with the details of the agreement and a link to pay.
