NCO and 1&1 Internet

I have a $30 in collections with NCO through 1&1 Internet Webhosting.  I was paying them monthly through PayPal and had my credit card that was on file with PayPal expire.  Because it expired, I didn't realize that my payment wasn't going through until it was too late.  Should I contact 1&1 and ask them about paying this and having it removed or is it too late and I now have to deal with NCO?  I've attached account details.  One through the ScoreWatch and the other directly through Equifax.

Should I call them or send them a PFD?

Re: NCO and 1&1 Internet

I decided to give 1&1 a call to see what they had to say.  They are closed in observance of Columbus Day, but going through they're number map, it was wanting to automatically forward me to NCO.  So, if NCO is their 3rd party CA, who do I technically owe the money to?  1&1 or NCO?

Re: NCO and 1&1 Internet

I'd try again tomorrow, when they're open.  It never hurts to try the OC.  All they can say is no...but it's better than not asking.  It's not like they can slap your hand for being bad!

Re: NCO and 1&1 Internet

As already stated......always try the OC. Make sure that you explain what took place. Tell them that you want to PIF if they will pull it from the CA. If they accept then get it in writing before paying.

When paying be sure to use the restrictive endoresment!!   This was they can not turn it over to the CA.

Re: NCO and 1&1 Internet

Thanks for the information.  How would I do a restrictive endorsement on a Money Order?

Re: NCO and 1&1 Internet

I think the same as you would with a check.  Make payable to the OC.......Turn it over where they endorse it and write.......for deposit only into the account of (name of the OC)

Re: NCO and 1&1 Internet

Just wanted to update...

I called 1&1 and they accept no payments that are not through PayPal, Credit Card or Debit Card, so I'm unable to do a restrictive endorsement.  I'm mailing out a PFD to NCO Financial this morning.  We'll see what happens with that...

Re: NCO and 1&1 Internet

Another update!  Saturday, I got a SW alert that my score had gone up 37 points.  I really didn't have any idea what it could be, since I emailed NCO just middle of last week.  I emailed them my PFD that got returned to me for insufficient address (The same address that is on my CR).  Today I check the mail and I received a letter from NCO stating they were deleting.  It's a little confusing though, so I've scanned the document and was wondering if I could get some input on this.

I haven't paid this, should I go ahead and contact the OC to try and pay or what?
