National Credit Systems

One of the last ones to get off my reports is National Credit Systems. We are gearing up to prepare for a mortgage in the coming months so this one will be very necessary to remove since it pertains to rent owed from 2015. It's $1,211 and they sent me a 50% settlement offer back in February that I stupidly didn't respond to (we weren't ready to buy anything then and I put it off). Now I need it paid and removed and from what I've read many people have had a tough time with this company so I've been hesitant to start the conversation. 

I've had great success with other collections with very friendly agents each time but I have a feeling this one may be different. 

I plan to call and see if they will still do the 50% offer for a PFD. Do you think I have a chance at that?
