Need a Collection Agency Phone # please!!!

I am trying to pay off a old medical collection on my Credit Report.  The collection agency is simply known as STANISCCONTR.  A phone number is the only thing stopping me from paying these guys off....and then just 3 more medical bills to pay off on my report before I am CLEAN!!!!  Can someone please help me out?

Re: Need a Collection Agency Phone # please!!!

I can not help you with a phone number as I have never dealt with them. An alternate way would be to contact the original OC (hospital, doctor, etc) that performed the services as they may have a contact phone number for them. It may be possible they still own the debt and can assist you in paying it off.

I'm glad this worked out for you. You didn't say where you got your CR but reports from third party sites often don't have the most complete information. If you pull your free reports from annualcreditreport.com or from each CRA you might get the full dtata you need. Just for future reference.  Smiley Happy

Re: Need a Collection Agency Phone # please!!!

Marine:  It is now worked out.  Now I am comparing my scores...which vary from 615 all the way down to 520.  One agency shows 12 years of  positive accounts that help me greatly and give me hope of raising my score ( I now have several low credit cards  in good standing and a auto loan in good standing to help with faithful payments), I have been paying off all my ex-wifes med. bills on my collections, there was 15 at the start of the year, now its down to around 6.  I suppose the only thing I can do now is just continue paying off the collections, and continue making all my payments on time.

My goal is to have my 615 (transunion) up to a 670-690 by start of 2012. And the low ender (experian), which are not reporting my longer credit history (just recent history), which is very disheartening, but my goal is to have that score up to 620 by 2012.  I wish they would be more consistent.  Its frustrating.  Any suggestions with that Experian Account not reporting my older (positive) credit history?

A few comments.

Just paying off collections won't help your scores although it is nice not to owe that money. Unpaid and paid collections are scored the same.

As far as Experian not reporting all your accounts that is something you'll need to take up with the creditors. The CRA's can only report the information that is supplied to them.

Are you saying you have an Experian score? May I ask where you bought it? No one has been able to buy their own Experian FICO score since February of 2009. Creditors can pull Experian and also there is a CU in Pennsylvania that supplies that information to it's members only.

Also where did you get your TU score? You can only buy true FICO scores at a few places. One place is here at myFICO. I suggest you do an internet search for "myfico discount codes" to save a little money. You can also purchase your Transunion score at www.transunioncs.com. At www.equifax.com EQ will still sell you an EQ FICO score but they make it very hard to find.

Re: Need a Collection Agency Phone # please!!!

for my experian score...if you call their phone number, they will give you a website to go to.  Its www.experian.com/now

There you can purchase your score and report.  I just did it this morning.  The TransUnion was done through myfico.  I have the quarterly monitering subscription.  I realize that paying off the collections won't help my score, but I won't get approved for a home loan in a couple years with collections on them.  I've had a couple mortgage lenders already tell me that they need to see ALL Collections "paid or settled" to even be considered.  They said even with a descent score they would still need to see the collections taken care of to get approved for a home loan.

So since March of 2010 I've been steadily paying off the creditors...down to 6!!!  Originally had 15+....every single one was from a ex wife who had anxiety and went to ER about once every other month.
