It's from Dell. They just bought a bunch of them and they're emailing everybody.
I received letters in the mail from resurget who is managing the acocunt for LVNV Funding. They show the debt was from CIT bank in Salt Lake City Utah. Origination date with creditor was 2004, and the charge-off date was in 10/2009. The acocunt was acquired in 8/23. They even write in the letter "The law limits how long you can be sued because of the age LVNV will not sue and will not report to any credit reporting agencies." Throwing this in the trash.

Not to get away from the OP's thread.
"Scammers will often make themselves appear legitimate by operating under a company or other authority figure’s name, but they cannot replicate a sender’s address. For example, if you receive a collections communication from TrueAccord, it will be from one of our company domains meaning that the email address (after the @ symbol) will either read “trueaccord.com” or a related address."
