Need help with a collection

Hello myficoers,

I have a collection showing up on my TU report. I filed chapter 7 on Oct of 2011 and it was discharged on January 2012. The collection was included the bk and the collection shows "Chapter 7 Bankruptcy" under description. I tried disputing it to have it removed and TU just came back with Verified. Is there any way to get this removed???

 I believe that accounts included in a bk stay for their 7 year period CRTP, just notated for bk as you said they were. They are not required to remove the TL. They do however have to remove all other data (amount, DOLA, terms,etc.) about the account and they can no longer report every month. I believe I am correct on this, if not someone please correct me. :\

Thank you for your reply. I checked again and it does say ch 7 bk. It also shows as unrated. I do remember seeing one of my TU reports and it saying that it should fall off next year which I found strange. I'll double check on that. Thank rootypooty for verifying as well.
