Nordstrom Payment Plan or lowered interest?

I got the visa card so I used it for Gas, Electricity, Car repairs, and food while in College. Now I owe them around $15,000

Does anyone have experience with having them lower the interest on the balance you owe and working with you on a payment plan? Possible Partial Payment?

It is the major torment in my credit card debt. My interest rate is around 27% and the minimums are around $500 a month now.

Best you can do is call and see what kind of offer they have for you to pay this debt. Its TD Bank your dealing with. Something or anything they can do might help. Keep us updated on your progess.

Re: Nordstrom Payment Plan or lowered interest?

If you don't care about damage to your credit you can stop paying and ask for settlement in 3-6 months of 30-50% but you will need to be able to pay that in a max of 12 payments usually.

however, you can probably get a "hardship" plan by just missing a payment and not even letting it go long enough to report a 30 day late on your credit.

"a financial hardship plan" is what you would specifically ask for after missing a payment.

be care, it's ALWAYS A COMPUTER" that spits out results even though you are talking to human... so your story is not important and crying won't help you.

just to the point answers and when they go over income vs payments you need a POSITIVE CASH FLOW at end (I know that doesn't always make sense when you are unable to make payments but it's how these plans were set up with banking regulations.

so plan your numbers before calling

income 2000

rent 800

car 200

utilities 100

gas 100

food 300

bills 100

cash positive (include your payment to them in your figures)

obviously rough examples and as you make more money you want a bit more cash left to make payments!!!

or else the computer will just say no plans available!

if so wait a week or so and call and do it again.
