Hi
I have a NCA collection from 2014 that is scheduled to be deleted 07/21. The OC is Rise and they're scheduled to be deleted 09/21. My question:. How can the OC account be deleted after the collection account? The OC has been on my report longer. Also, I've read different posts saying the credit bureaus are no longer doing EE? Is this true? Thanks
First the Collection account falloff date would be the same as the OC falloff date no matter what. If that is not the date you got from annualcreditreport.com i would go there and get your actual fall off date because if that collection is for that account the date should be the same as Rise. Also people have still been getting EEs from the credit bureaus but it could be harder now I don't know because I've never done it. So maybe someone who has will respond.
Starting Score: 494 503 521Credit report exclusion of information under an OC account can pertain to only specific items of information reported under the account, which can have different exclusion period begin dates and lengths dependent upon the type of derog, or could extend to exclusion of the entire account under only certain conditions.
No determination can be made as to what will be excluded or its pertinent exclusion period/date until the specific item(s) under the account are know and evaluated.
A complete posting of the payment history profile of the account would at least be needed to determine what will be subject to exclusion, and its required exclusion date.
Can you provide that info?

This is not entirely true. I probably have at least half a dozen account with corresponding CAs that have 2 months difference between age off dates - with the CA falling off 2 months prior to the OC. I would hate to do anything to jeopardize them aging off or having both fall off at the later date, so I let them be. 2 years difference would be one thing, but 2 months? Let it be. Mine reflect the CAs falling off 2 month earlier than the OC, where the OC age off date is correct. I would call that a win.

Too bad you got NCA for the CA, as they do not PFD. I have a CA for Rise and I got NCB which did PFD.
Mine also ages off this year (12/2021) for both CA and OC. So I am counting down for June to request my 6 months of EE from TU since Rise only is reporting to TU.
EE is still alive and well for TU. EX is only a month prior to the "on record until" date which already builds in 2 months (possibly the whole 3 months) of EE, so not really a big time gain there/worth requesting. EQ and EE requests are like playing with hot oil and cold water: best left alone. It is only 1 month of EE, anyway, and they usually age off accounts a month or more early making the EE requests moot.
