I never heard a word from them - nothing. So today, I contacted the OC and they said they would have it taken care of after verifying that the amounts were included in my BK.
Im actually going to try this with CITI
I know that this is an old thread but I was wondering if anyone could give me a quick answer.
Who do I send this letter to?
In my case, I had a medical bill that I had a disagreement with the insurance company over. Eventually, my account with the hospital was send to a collection agency (insurance company never did pay).
Does that letter go to the original creditor (the hospital) or does that go to the collection agency?
Help and thanks

You send it to whatever company is reporting this debt to the CRA's.

Hi all. First post here. This is my situation. Owe a balance to Amex of roughly $8200. This is showing on the Experian CR for "estimated month and year that this item will be removed" as next month (12/11). I have considered a PFD and settlement offer but wonder if it is even worth it at this time. We have recently come into some money and would like to take care of our past delinquency. We are also trying to raise our credit score. I do not have a full understanding of exactly what a "est month and year, etc" even means. Does it disappear forever? any"'special comments" remain? Just how does it work in general?
Another issue I am not understanding is Amex shows the balance due but they will not discuss this and refer me to NCO. Even if I did a PFD, who should it be sent to? Thanks in advance for any advice that can be given.

Welcome to the forums.
Once the CRTP (Credit Reporting Time Period) has expired for debt it can never be reported again. But even after this the debt remains and collection efforts can continue indefinitely. Paying this would mean no more hassling by creditors.

Hi all. In the continuing process of building my credit score to the '700 club', I have decided to settle my remaining balances from 2006. In actuality it is one balance, from CVF Consumer Acquisitions. I disputed the account with both Experian and Equifax, both of which returned the accounts as verified. Seeing as how I do owe these people (actually a BoA account from 2006) money, I am more than happy to pay them. The question I had, although belated, was sending a PFD to CVF the right way to go? I am hoping they will work with me as I really did not know I owed the money because since joining the Corps in '06, I had not contact from BoA and CVF.
