Re: PFD Example Letter

Thanks, but now I am a nervous wreck about the one acct I thought was in collections at the $900 settlement. It is a charge off! Did'nt know the difference when I made above post. I have been reading these boards every day for hours on end now. I am on my third sleepless night of board reading since joining. Not sleepless night in a row. Here is my problem. I got a phone call from the charge off  ca a few weeks back telling me my cc was in collections. I paid  ca $100 on the phone. That promted me to pull my credit reports which I had never done before. Well when I pulled my reports I saw 2 cc accts w/ this same oc, but I thought I only had one acct w/ them and thought the other acct was the one ca was calling about and I was paying $100 too.

Now this year has been not the greatest financially and I got disoganized and basically I guess I quit caring about paying my bills on time so I have messed my once good credit up pretty good this year and was not paying attention to stuff I should have been, obviously. So I've been wondering since pulling my credit report how in the world I would not have paid something for 6 months in a row, let it get charged off, and not remember getting any bills, past due letters, phone calls, etc.. on it. So I called ca yesterday to see if I could get pfd for verbal agreement and was told no. I then sent pfd cmrrr anyway. Then I thought somemore about how I could let a charge off happen and went through all of my financial records from 2003-2007 (luckily I am a pack rat)  Now here is the crzazy part from 2003-20007 I have only ever made out one check to this cc in a month period. I have never issued them 2 checks in one month? Now my other account w/ them has 3 lates all in 07 (not consecutive), but since 2001 every month it's been on time? So I'm thinking how is this possible. I try calling cc and get transfered to ca 3 times in a row. I know I should'nt be talking to anyone on the phone but I was pretty confused so I explained the situation to him since  I had just asked for a verbal pfd earlier that day which I would not have paid until I got it in writing, so ca is probably thinking I am crazy or lying at this point and he was obviously no help.

So my question is what do I do now? Should I DV ca eventhough I sent out a pfd yesterday prior to going through my records (stupid right)? Should I go to the police? Should I fill out a idenity theft form? Should I contact cc fraud dept (although everything I have read about them online is horrible and that would probably get me nowhere) Plus both of these accounts were opened in 12/01 so how was the charged off acct paid on up until some lates in 06 than paid on than charged off when no money came out of any of my accounts? The whole thing is crazy and I don't know what would be my best, smartest step from here? Please Help!!!!! I am a nervous wrek and don't know what to do? I should also mention that I sent a gw letter to ceo of oc right after pulling credit reports and obviously prior to looking through my records, no response as of yet from ceo (although like I said everything I have read about ceo and company online lastnight is not good).

Re: PFD Example Letter

I called a collection agency and offered PFD and they told me it's not possible to delete anything from my record. What categories of bad items can be deleted, and which can't be?

Re: PFD Example Letter

Should I approach the original creditor, the collection agency, or both? And in what order?
