Re: PFD Success! RJM Acquisitions

I have two very low $ amount collections on my CR from RJM, I would like to PIF both and ask for a PFD, should I send letters or email as some of you have said? Also, should I put them both in one letter ?? Do I say I acknowledge that they are mine and would like to correct it or do I say, I am not acknowledging but would like to PIF for PFD??

Thanks!

Re: PFD Success! RJM Acquisitions

You all were not kidding, RJM has to be the fastest responding, easiest CA to work with.  Kind of makes you wish any CO account you have was held by them! Smiley Wink They agreed to a full deletion with a little over 50% settlement.  Sweet deal!

Re: PFD Success! RJM Acquisitions

I called them (no one in particular, just customer service) after having PIF a collection and requested removal.  They said they would.  I didn't think they really understood my question; it seemed too easy.  Smiley Wink   A couple of days later, I had a letter saying the account was paid in full and that they would delete the tradeline from the CRAs.  I was shocked!

ETA: technically, this was GW, not PFD - the account was already paid.

Re: PFD Success! RJM Acquisitions

Have any of your collections actually been removed from your CR or did you have to contact the CAs in order to get it removed? I have been waiting about 2 weeks, but they said it can take 45 days. I am not sure if I buy that.

Re: PFD Success! RJM Acquisitions

My account with RJM was deleted after a DV letter was sent.  No follow up action was necessary.

Re: PFD Success! RJM Acquisitions

A little more info.  I sent my 57% settlement pymt on 7/1 via overnight mail after RJM agreed to a PFD.  They rec'd on 7/2 and even though as of yesterday the Cashiers check hadn't cleared, they deleted today.  Just a little over a month on the whole process. Starting with my first PFD sent to them on 6/1.  Woo hoo. Smiley Happy

Re: PFD Success! RJM Acquisitions

Hello I have two accounts with RJM but they are duplicates.  Can someone please PM the contact info so I can address these issues and arrange a PFD.  If possible please forward e-mail, phone, or mailing address.  I think it is awesome that so many have had great success with e-mails.
