Okay, so here's what happened. My fiance and I recently moved into a new apartment complex. The do the normal hard pull on my credit report and not only does the inquiry pop up but a new collection from PG&E complex appears. I know this collection is not mine as i have always paid them on time. Also, my name is incorrectly spelled and the apt# is incorrect and it appeared the same time as the inquiry.
My question is how to go about this, i just got a letter the CA regarding the collection. Should I call PG&E directly? or contact the CA?

Date Closed: 08/2006
DOLA: April 2008 - paid off
Any help would be greatly appreciated
