Paid CO question

I settled a CO with a CA over a month ago.  The OC is the one reporting to the bureaus and still shows as a CO.  The CA said that they notified the OC the day I paid the debt. 

At this point, might it behoove me to dispute the status for the slim chance that it might be removed if they don't respond?  And what might be the proper steps?

If the OC is reporting a balance, then you could dispute. If reporting $0, but still a CO, then the status is listed correctly. You could GW them to get them to change any "CO" mention and/or to get them to remove any lates.
