Paid Debt

I had an account with First Premier and paid it off in June, before I knew about this forum. The amount was paid in full to Arrow Financial. I sent GW letters to them but they then updated it as disputed. Is there anyway to get it off of my credit report? Please help.

Re: Paid Debt

About the only thing you can do is GW. Send another one but make sure you tell them you are not disputing.

Re: Paid Debt

I agree, you will need to GW, sometimes it takes a few tries and eventually someone there will have a soft heart and remove it.

If you are not in a hurry -- you COULD wait to see the outcome of the dispute, and then send another GW if necessary.

Just my 2 cents.

Re: Paid Debt

There won't really be an "outcome". When the creditor/CA reports to the CRA that the account is "disputed", the CRA doesn't investigate it like they would if the consumer disputed it directly with the CRA.

I agree with the others, continue to send GW letters. The only other option is to find email addresses for the higher ups and email GW letters to them.
