Permissible purposes

My OC, Crescent Jewelers, went bankrupt and sold my loan (not a cc) now there are several inquiries are on my CR.  I understand the OC was trying to get rid of the loan, but do I have to take a ding on my CR because their business failed....

Are all these inquiries permissible?  There's  at least 5 of them which occurred about 5/08.  Can I ask from them do be removed because I didn't authorize them?

Hard pulls or soft pulls?

How do you know the pulls are associated with the your OC account?

Re: Permissible purposes

They were hard pulls.  I deduced it was the OC because that is the only activity at that time.  Sorry I didn't see this reply and the inquirys are gone. now there's a new inquiry and I have no idea what that is for.  I haven't applied for anything in two years..
