Please Respond!!!! Any Success with Collection Company of America/ATT

Hello All. I hope that this message finds you all well. I have a collections on my account dating back to 06/07- I cant not remember. It is reporting on my CR from CA- CCA ( collections company of america) OC- AT&T.

I plan to DV this letter and then if validated writing a PFD...and in all else fails PIF followed by GW letters.

My question is .. has anyone had sucess with PFDs or GW letters with this agency?

Please advise.. very much appreciated.

I have not had experience with that CA, but I did have an ATT account from 2006 recently go to collections with Client Services, Inc. CA reported it in 2/09, before they even contacted me.  I refused to pay the CA and sent an e-mail to ATT's Office of the President requesting PFD.  The Officed responded in 2 weeks and I paid ATT directly.  So far TU and EQ have dropped it, still waiting for EX but I've been told it should be off within the next 5 days.

Re: Please Respond!!!! Any Success with Collection Company of America/ATT

I just went on AT&T's website and searched "Office of the President".  It allows you to submit an e-mail to the Office online.  I didn't really think it would do anything but it appears they actually read them.

I explained my account history (there were billing errors, customer service issues, etc.) and that I believed the account should not have been sent to collections.  I offered to pay the account balance in full ($1385) if AT&T agreed to contact the CA and instruct them to remove the account from all 3 bureau reports.  A woman from the Office of the President (I think the number is 1-866-220-8446) called in response to my e-mail.  We spoke several times and I trusted her and paid in full over the phone (you really should get the PFD in writing in the forms available on this forum) and it was removed from EQ and TU right away.  She has been hounding EX to get it removed - they are the last ones.  Hope that helps.

I also emailed the office of the president on the ATT website and just got a call back. We will see. ..
