Working on my last baddy.
I tried online dispute no luck. At the time I could not locate any documentation on this baddy to send in with a dispute; I have since been able to locate document which puts DOFD DEC2013
-------------------------------------------------
Transunion---
NATIONAL CREDIT SYSTEMS
.
Placed for collection: 07/03/2014
Responsibility: Joint Account
Account Type: Open Account
Loan Type: COLLECTION AGENCY/ATTORNEY
Balance: $4,115
Date Updated: 06/25/2020
Date Closed: 06/25/2020
Original Amount: $4,115
Original Creditor: ABC Apartment Complex
Past Due: >$4,115<
Pay Status: >In Collection<
Remarks: Completed investigation of FCRA dispute-consumer disagreed; >PLACED FOR COLLECTION<
Estimated month and year that this item will be removed: 02/2021
-------------------------------
I have also tried to call and do EE on each.
TU---basically unable to help, quotes the DOFD to 7 years-02/2021 (which as noted above DOFD is wrong). TU recently showed account Date Closed 6/25/2020.
EX---(Same Baddy on EX) I have been lucky in the past and received EE on EX 6 months out from normal deletion. I tried recently and was told to try back Sept 1st for EE. (shows DOFD DEC2020)----it is also on my EX.
****The other odd part was I had a SP INQ from TCI-Recovery couple of days ago this month*****
Which makes me wonder why CA added “close” date. Make me wonder if (from threads I have read on here) they no longer have rights to collect it and its been sold (hence the TCI-Recovery INQ)
Isn’t this also wrong account type “open account” for a collection? I was trying to find the old triage information; figured I would get the latest updates from those that know please.
Thinking I could at least dispute the TU baddy with court document to get the DOFD changed to Dec2020, then try EE. For EX, continue the EE Sep1st.
Please let me know if you can see anything else I can do (short of trying to settle and get PFD).
Thank you!!!

Check your annual credit reports and see what the real DoFD is. Theres 2 dates. This can make a difference.
That information is from Transunion annualcreditreport.com report
I did add in the Closed date line from TU backdoor confirming it was there when I looked at Credit Karma update (which is all I use it for is the alerts).
Actual DOFD's from the reports and the recent EE attempts:
TU---2/2021
EX---12/2020
Shouldn't the "account type" be collection and not "open" ???

No, a collection is either an open or closed one.

The both dates are actually correct. This is because EX "bakes in" 2 months of EE into the "one record until" date. The "on record until" date is separate from the DoFD. They recently started adding in 2 months of EE, so it has been very confusing regarding EE and DoFD with EX. This does not change their 3 months EE, but you can only request it 1 month prior to that given date, since those 2 months are already baked in. That mean DoFD (not "on record until") would be 2/2021 for both EX and TU. There is nothing to push up this date for TU, as it is completely accurate.
This means, you can request EE from TU (6 months EE from DoFD) on 8/1/2020 and on 11/1/2020 from EX (EX has 3 month EE from DoFD, but they have recently changed where they include those 2 month into the "on record until" date - which is not the DoFD, meaning you can request EE 1 month prior to that given date.)
Good luck!
@Anonymous thanks for the info!!!
Update---I called EX yesterday to try the EE and it worked!!!!
I am working towards mortgage first of the year and mortgage score went up tooooo!!!
EX-----was before last baddy removed----Fico 8---712-----Fico 2---687
--------------------------------------------------NOW-----Fico 8---763-----Fico 2---731 !!!!!!!
Just a few notes from the phone conversation:
--the Rep yesterday reviewed the notes from the last time I called...so they are documenting the calls
--I had mentioned the EE and fact I was told to ask for a Supervisor, this Rep said let me see what I can do if I can't help then I will pass you on to Supervisor if that is ok with you...and then said "oh...Early Exclusion, let me check...oh yes you are within the 6 month window and he proceeded to search for what seemed the box to check for EE and submitted the request (which I believe is a different box checked on the dispute screen because I still got the email that a dispute had been filed) and said I should have an answer within 3-5 days..."...BAM same day results back, removed from my EX report.....IT IS NOW CLEAN!!!!!!
So, now I am down to this one last baddy on my TU till all 3 reports are CLEAN!!!
Thanks everyone for your help!!!
I will try to remember to update this with the results of TU.
Struck out with TU today.
Requested a Supervisor and he told me they no longer do EE. I just thanked him and will try again next week.
With others getting TU 6 months....hopefully I can too!!!

i find that so odd that several people have said TU no longer does EE. As of 6/1/2020, my SO was able to get off 8 baddies with "estimated date of removal" of 12/2020. I wonder why they "no longer" do EE. I would definitely HUCA until tou find someone that can do it.
@Anonymous
Yes, I have been reading others too, seems they are sticking with this no longer EE at TU.
I was hoping to get on the TU bandwagon of 6 month EE; struck out again this morning!!!
Gently requested supervisor as didn't want another actual dispute filed. Spvr gently declined my request for EE. He did verify that my DOFD is currently showing March 2014 and est removal Feb 2021.
I think at this point I will figure out how to send the document I have to dispute the DOFD and get it changed to DEC2020. Figure that will take up to the 30 days placing me at end of September, then go from there. If that dispute doesn't hopefully trigger an EE but only updates the DOFD, then I can try calls in October for EE??? May try HUCA next few days and file on Monday. Hopefully someone gets TU EE and updates it recently!!!
