Portfolio Recovery Reported after settlement

I settled on an account in full with them back in feb. and now as of today they reported it with a balance on all my 3 credit bureaus. I already tried the BBB in the beginning of the month and no reposnse.!! can they do that? Should I call Portfolio and ask them why they are reporting a balance?

Did you receive the letter from them agreeing to the settlement?  It's usually received a few days after payoff. And reporting to the CRA's take time.  I would give them a call to make sure you're all on the same page.

Then start sending them a gw letter for full deletion.

Not uncommon for this to take 90 days!

They told me it takes 1-2 months to receive the letter that its settled. I sent them about 10 GW already and emailed the CEO and got no response. I called them last week and they said its settled and that the letter was on its way.

Thios collection agency sux!!! i worked with northland group and they deleted the next day after i paid!
