Okay...Experian is being a royal pain in my butt. According to what I have read any bureau can only report accurate and complete data. I had a loan for a business endeavor that failed. It was a collateral based personal loan. They repo'd the business and then turned around and reported a "new" loan on my credit staing this loan was opened Nov 2007 and that it was past due and (I don't recall how it lists negatively), but the fact is they upped all the dates to current....I opened the loan in 2005 and the DOLA is well before Nov. 2007. I never signed loan documents in 2007 at all...okay if I have to suffer with this on my report, I want those extra 2 years back! I have disputed a lot of info on my credit reports because they all say different things and there are many blanks in the entire listings and they have several things listed twice. Experian especially, is stating to me, they already verified this listing as accurate and telling me to contact creditors directly.....okay they are the one's reporting the incomplete and inaccurate info. They then put consumer statements on my file, which I did not want...I am frustrated and they are telling me that they don't have to prove that the listings are accurate they only report......so any body have any suggestions on dealing with them. I know the info is not correct because each bureau have the "same listing" with different dates, etc... I am trying to clean it up some! Some stuff that is over 7 years is listing still current and DOLA are changed, and its pissing me of. PLEASE help!
Who is reporting this? What exactly is being reported? Can you copy/paste the entry without the sensitive information(account numbers, etc)?

Over 7 years from what date?
Experian is not allowing me to dispute inaccurate/incomplete data is basically it. There is to much to list, but I am saying there are things listed that aren't correct, but they refuse to re-investigate or prove that its accurate.
Basically what I am saying is Experian is really being jerks. They have added consumer statements, that I did nto ask them to add, saying consumer disagrees. They send me letters back saying already disputed, account previously verified as accurate. The problem is, ITS NOT ACCURATE. I asked for proof of verification and they send me back letters saying if you think its inaccurate contact the creditor yourself. We are not mediators. EXCUSE ME? They are the ones reporting information that is hurting my credit report. They are suppose to be able only to report ACCURATE adn COMPLETE information.
No, the CRA is to take steps to ensure that the data they report is complete and accurate. This means the OC/CA reporting is stating that it is complete and accurate.
The duty to report accurate is on the OC/CA that is reporting the information to the CRA.
File a dispute with them under FCRA 623.
Is the OC or CA reporting this account?
What dates are being reported as 2007?
