Question. Should I remove from an AU account high UTIL

Firstly, thanks to all of you who are a part of this community and are very helpful to everyone who is posting.

I am happy to say I'm taking command of my life and my credit. I will spare everyone with the boring details of how my credit profile got messed up - its the usual suspect list of events that most have dealt with.

Main question. I am an AU on family members account. I have over the years forgotten about this and once going through my report I see it may be causing more problems than its worth.
BOFA

99%UTIL

20 year old account.

I have other accounts with a nice age mix including 20 years on my own cc.

I too have some baddies like most who are rebuilding.

PFA just paid in full today and if they keep to their rule it will be deleted in a month or so.

Disco charge off - still reporting - paid in full the other day.

Some lates on current accounts but they are over 30 months ago.

Would it be in my best interest to remove that AU account as I think its hurting me not helping me right now. Thanks in advance and appreciate everyone who contributes here.

Welcome @Wolfman4 , Anything over 90% usage is a score killer. I wouldn't want to be associated with that so yes, you should remove yourself from that account and focus on what trying to achieve.

I am going to test this out first-hand. I have a card with a $10K limit on which I just charged $10K for a business expense. While I can pay it off before the statement date, I am going to let it ride until after the statement date just to see how much of an impact it has on my score. Since I'm in the garden, I can afford to experiment and indulge my curiosity.
