Question about paying off a DMP

We've been enrolled in a DMP for about a year. Have come into enough money to pay off the balances entirely. Can I pay the final balance direct to my creditors, or do I have to go through the DMP? It's around 20k, and for some reason I'd feel better paying direct instead of sending it all to the DMP. Thanks in advance for any advice!

I'd look at the agreement you signed and double check if there is any language about payoff / direct payments.

Generally I think creditors will always take your money but you should probably talk to your DMP processor first.

I agree. It would work out either way, but might lead to some processing issues if you circumvent the DMP.
