My FICO score is 698 and the landlord is accepting rent applications from renters with a 700 or better. Can someone help me bump up my credit score by just 2 points.
I have a auto loan which I pay regularly and two credit cards. Card 1 is fully paid off and Card 2 has approx $4000 outstanding.
MyFICO shows one credit inquiry from some strange company that I do not know. I have initiated a dispute with the agency ( Advantage Credit) and reported the matter to Experian by uploading the dispute documents.
What will help me get two points added to my FICO. I have two days left to submit the rent application.
Thank you all for any thoughts or comments.
Whats the limit on card 2? Your utilization should be lowered and you will see a score jump?
Paying down the cc but it won't happen in 2 days.
Thank you . Is there any way to request the CC company to inform the bureaues ?
Thank you Whitneyy
Here is what my second credit card , Discover shows
Credit Line : $ 9400
Credit Line available : $ 4100
Cash Advance Credit Line : $ 2000
Cash Advance Credit Line Available : $2000
New Balance shows $5299. I can afford to pay off the entire $5299 today. Would this bump my score in two days ? Can I take any proactive step to get the 2 points.
Thank you again and thanks to you all in assisting victims of this automated injustice.

If your card reports normally by the 29th or the 30th then yes because it will be on your new reports, if they have reported already, NO. You would have to wait until the card reports. You don't need to pay the whole thing off just between 1-9% for best scoring.
Thank you again Whitneyy, That makes sense and you just made me realize something I just take for granted. I am going to pay off the Discover card now and call Discover to assist in any way possible. Will post a response.

Discover is very, very good about being willing to make mid-cycle reports to the credit bureaus. So pay that balance down, right after the payment hits, ask Discover to report , and a few days later you'll see the result. Hope that does the job for you!
Oh BTW do NOT NOT NOT pay the Discover card all the way to zero. Zeroing out both your cards may cause a score drop. Leave at least a small balance on one card for best FICO scoring. Somewhere between 1 and 9 percent.
Thank you Gunnar419.
Would you mind clarifying 1-9% of the balance owed ( $5299) OR 1-9% of credit line ( $9400)
