Realistic expectation?

Hey all I am curious what a realistic expectation I should have for myfico EQ score to change between now and the end of the year is.

As of today it is a 604.

The bad

1 paid judgment that will fall off in 2016

1 paid tax lient that will fall off in 2017

1 paid collection that will fall off November 2014

2 CO'd credit cards that will fall off December 2014

The good

1 Capital One Card $500 limit never late have had it for 20 months

1 Walmart Card $400 limit never late have had it for 6 months

1 BOA Secured Card $500 never late acquired this month

1 HD US Ban Secured Card $500 never late acquired this month

1 First Premier Bank Unsecured Card $700 never late acquired this month

1 Fingerhut Account $1200 CL acquired last month

2 paid off car loans from 2004 and 2005 which may mean they will drop off soon.

The meh

My current car loan that I have paid on for 8 months now doesn't report to EQ only to TU and EX.

My current utilization is 16%

Assuming I pay everything on time and the items fall off like they should and nothing negative new pops up what is a realistic score I should have come then end of 2014?

I messed with the calculator but it doesn't give enough options to cover my scenarios.

Thanks!

Last negative item should fall off in July 2017.

Re: Realistic expectation?

really hard to say, the PRs are the ones that are the worst they keep you in a bucket with others that have PRs, If you look at my sig my TU still has a dismissed BK-7 from 05 on it the others are clear and you can see the depression in points it causes and its post 9 yrs now...

Re: Realistic expectation?

everyone's file is different but sounds like those new accounts need some aging. I couldn't tell you what exactly to expect but my score's were around 590 and they climbed to 650 with good history and some aging. I'd say that's certainly possible for you too. As far as that car loan if the history is good you might consider writing a nice letter to them explaning you are trying to rebuild your credit and ask them if they would be willing to report your history to EQ as well.

Re: Realistic expectation?

If those judgements and liens are paid, depending on your state, you may be able to ask the courts (or revenue authority in the case of the tax lien) to vacate the judgement. Assuming it is allowed, contact the plaintiff's attorney and see if they would be willing to write you a letter in support of vacating the judgment now that it is satisfied. With support of both sides for the vacation, it is usually a pro forma procedure for a judge to issue the order. By vacating a judgement it is as if the original judgement never happened and must be removed from reporting.

As for the other collection accounts, try sending GW letters asking them nicely if they would be willing to remove their reporting now that it is paid. Explain your hardship and how you paid them when you could. Some will delete, some won't but it only costs a little time and postage to try. Deleting a collection account will take you a lot farther than just showing paid.

Starting Score (2/15/14): TU 533 (myFICO) | EQ 509 (myFICO)
Latest score (4/5/14): TU 541 (Lender) | EQ 562 (SW) | EX 576 (myFICO)
Goal Score by 9/30/14: 620+ | Goal Score by 6/30/15: 700+

Re: Realistic expectation?

I realize I am at a point of letting my new account age and not applying for any new credit. The lendor I am with is Condor Capitol for the car loan I have e-mailed them a couple times with no response I will likely try calling and ask if they have plans to report things to Equifax at some point or if they would be willing to otherwise a refinance to get it reported on all 3 will be the best course of action when my credit allows it. I am in the State of Kansas I have contacted the state awaiting reply about having the tax lien withdrawn. I haven't been able to find any information regarding having the satisfied judgement vacated in Kansas. Anyone have a resourse on which states allow State tax lien withdrawals or Satisfied Judgement vacations.

Otherwise I am guessing 650-675 is about as good as I may be able to get this year as long as I pay timely and don't apply for any new tradelines.

Thanks al
