Receivable Management Group PFD

Good afternoon,

I have 2 medical collection from RMG and i tried to do a PFD and it did not work, I spoke to them today and they said they will give me a 20% discount and they will remove it from my credit. The lady i spoke to than transfered me to someone else that recived my letter and he told me the same thing. He also said " we will remove it from you credit however i canot have that in wrinting you, we are in the bussines of collecting money not ruining peoples credit"

What do you guys think should i take a gamble they will remove it?

If they're not willing to put it in writing, then no. They don't want to be held liable if they change their minds... which I'm sure they'll. I can imagine they're agreeing to that verbally only to get you to pay.

With that said, oral agreements are enforceable in some caes (some reading) so if you have evidence, time and money to waste...

Re: Receivable Management Group PFD

As what the other member stated, do not give them anything unless you have it in writing☡☡ I always made sure I had an agreement in writing 📝🖋✏before making a payment. I also recorded all convos (NY has one-party consent) 😁.
Collection agencies just want to get paid💲💲. I don't trust any of them. And some of them are so grimey ☠☠ (not all but enough!). They are full of 💥💥💥💥 by saying they cannot give it to you in writing. They CAN. They just don't want to.
It's your call, but I'd hate to see you pay off💸 your debt and get screwed in your rebuilding journey.
Good luck and keep us updated!

Have you found any instances online where they have verbally agreed to remove an item and have actually done so?
