Good afternoon,
I have 2 medical collection from RMG and i tried to do a PFD and it did not work, I spoke to them today and they said they will give me a 20% discount and they will remove it from my credit. The lady i spoke to than transfered me to someone else that recived my letter and he told me the same thing. He also said " we will remove it from you credit however i canot have that in wrinting you, we are in the bussines of collecting money not ruining peoples credit"
What do you guys think should i take a gamble they will remove it?

If they're not willing to put it in writing, then no. They don't want to be held liable if they change their minds... which I'm sure they'll. I can imagine they're agreeing to that verbally only to get you to pay.
With that said, oral agreements are enforceable in some caes (some reading) so if you have evidence, time and money to waste...

Have you found any instances online where they have verbally agreed to remove an item and have actually done so?
