Receivable Management Services LLC via Progressive Insurance

Hi everyone,

I've been doing research for weeks/months on if Receivable Management Services LLC would consider a PFD for a full payment. I have not read anything favorable about the CA so I decided to try my luck anyway because I'm desperately trying to clean up my credit so that I can buy a home. I owed Progressive $128 and called them today to negotiate a PFD in exchange for payment in full. The agent was very helpful, and she did say that they can do a PFD in exchange for my full payment. Her supervisor hopped on the call because she had to explain the PFD process, giving me details on the steps and the timeframe of the process. She told me that within 24 hours of my payment clearance, they will email me a copy of the PFD letter and the account will be closed in 14 days. On the 15th day, they will send a request letter to all 3 Credit Bureaus to delete their account from my credit reports and they will also email me a copy as well. The supervisor ultimately approved the PDF. I paid the $128, the agent emailed the department to begin process of the PFD and to send me a copy of the letters as well. I hope that they do the right thing, but I will continue to update this thread until the CA is removed from my credit reports.

I know every situation is different, but I hope this will give others hope with this collection agency as they navigate through, their credit repair/rebuilding journey.

I'm going through the same thing. I had a collection with RMS through Progressive. I paid the full amount in order for them to delete. They stated they would and sent me an email confirming the agreement on their letterhead. Just waiting for them to delete.
