Removing Paid Medical Collections

I have been trying to find the HIPPA process on these boards and a lot of the links are not working.  I have four medical collections that are all paid, that I would like to have removed. I disputed one with the CRA but they only reported it as paid.  I understand there is a HIPPA process and would like to use it.  Could someone please outline the process?  Or give the links that work so I may use it.

My understanding is that once a medical collection is paid, it is a violation of HIPPA to report that medical bill on the CR?  Is that correct?  If I paid a CA rather than the OC, do I send the HIPPA letter to the CA or the OC?

Thanks a ton.  I have heard great things can happen to your score if you had paid medical collections removed.

Re: Removing Paid Medical Collections

Unfortunately, we can't discuss HIPAA.  Please use Google to find the process.

Re: Removing Paid Medical Collections

I would try to goodwill some of the collection agencies. I had luck getting a paid medical collection removed by finding the President's and VP's email addresses of the CA on google.

HIPPA I can't help with...haven't done it.

Re: Removing Paid Medical Collections

HIPAA is for paid collections to the OC.  Sometimes it will work for a CA.

Since they are paid, and the process less lengthy, I would try the good will route.
