Removing an authorized user account - is it possible??

So, I was added as an authorized user on an account that had poor payment history - 4 30 day lates.  Will it be possible for me to remove this account from my CR's?  If so, what's the best way to do this?

Call the CCC and ask to be removed as an AU. Some CCC will want the owner to call. File a dispute with the CRAs reporting as *not mine*
