Removing old addresses and Disputing Inquires

Hi! Are there sample letters to send to the CRAs to remove old addresses and dispute inquires?

I would like to remove some of mine also bc experian has about 6 different variations of my current and old address. Some with my apartment # some without and even the wrong apt #.

Per addresses, you just send them a letter asking them to remove this or that address because it is incorrect, wrong, etc. If a creditor is using that old address, or used it at any time, you may not be able to remove that address.

Disputing inquiries isn't a good idea. It is a fast way to a fraud alert. If these aren't yours then I recommend pulling each CR directly from the 3 CRAs. You can track back the demographic info used on that inquiry and file a police report if you suspect so.

Thanks for the info. As for the inquires, I have about 8 hard inquires for collection companies. I know I have not been a victim of ID theft...I just wanted to remove them since they are not listed as a soft inquiry. Still a bad idea?

This is certainly a debatable topic in here! Not going there today, though.

I'd suggest not doing that if SOL has not expired or you do not have the $$$ to pay that debt in full. When you dispute, the CA will find out and that could cause an increase in collection activity.
