It needs a new alternator, battery and the computer system needs to be replaced. The computer alone is 2-3k as per all quotes I have received. The car is 10 years old and only worth $1-2k. Not worth it. I'm considering asking will they take a settlement amount so I can get the title and sell for parts if they agree. Atleast make back some of the balance.
