Repo

Hey guys I'm sure this has been asked before I had my car repoed back in 11/ 07. I ran my credit the other day and saw the last time it was reported was 06/08. I read online you can dispute a repo. Is this a good idea or should I not wake a sleeping dog? I still owe $4000

Re: Repo

On what grounds would you consider disputing the repo?  You had a car, didn't pay, and the came and got it.. that's a repo all day long.  they sold the car to pay off what you owed on it and they collected all but 4k.. you still owe 4k.

don't have 4k?  leave it alone.

Re: Repo

You'll wake the sleeping dog and they'll tack on the 120+ days late in your payment history. Expect to see your score go down after their update.

Re: Repo

Disputing it is a fast way to get sued.

Ditto. When I first started repair, I disputed my repo. It was one of the dumbest things I ever did. They were only reporting 2-3 lates w/ the repo reference on EX only. After the dispute, they added 15 more lates and added the repo reference to EQ. Dooooh.
